Options for taking time away

If you need to take time away from work to care for yourself, to care for someone else, or for another reason, there are several options available. Review the information below to learn about the types of leave available, to complete applicable forms, and to prepare for your time out of the office. Options may vary based on your eligibility.

 

Use of Accrued Time

Supplemental Pay Leave Request

Effective December 15, 2024, in myURHR UKG employees leave for Short-term Disability (STD), Workers Compensation (WC), or Paid Family Leave (PFL) per New York State requirements will need to request in writing to use any accrued time to supplement their leave where full pay is not offered.

Additionally, a new automated accruals payments process will determine the order in which accruals for time will be paid for certain types of leave.

Changes to Leave Plan Designation Terminology

The University糖心传媒檚 leave and disability plans have historically been linked to an employee糖心传媒檚 pay grade. To align with our new job structure launched on January 31, 2024, the University糖心传媒檚 paid leave policies have been updated with new terminology used to designate leave plans. The plans remain the same and there is no impact to staff.
