Students with issues or concerns with their online distance education course are encouraged to use the systems and student grievance processes of the school at the University of Rochester that offers the course. Elevating a Complaint to New York State
A student has the right to lodge a complaint or grievance. The student should begin the complaint process with the institution, and if a resolution is not reached, the student would contact the institution’s home state SARA Portal Entity (listed below), within two years of the incident. Students should review the before submitting an appeal. (Note - student issues with grades or academic policies must be resolved by the school at the University)
