Ten works of fiction and six poetry collections remain in the running for this year糖心传媒檚 Best Translated Book Awards following the announcement of the two shortlists today on Three Percent, the University of Rochester糖心传媒檚 translation-centric website.

Aches, a stop-motion animation film by film and media studies major Brynn Wilkins, 糖心传媒�15 took the top prize in the 10th annual Gollin Film Festival, sponsored by the Film and Media Studies Program.

Until now, optically active quantum dots have not been observed in materials consisting of a single layer of atom, also known as 2D materials. Rochester researchers have shown how the 2D material tungsten diselenide can be fashioned into an atomically thin semiconductor that serves as a platform for solid-state quantum dots.
