Below is the University of Rochester campus timeline for the for graduate study in Scotland. Submissions are due by 11:59 p.m. ET, unless otherwise indicated.
Please be advised that before we nominate you or endorse your candidacy for a fellowship competition, we will perform a conduct and academic honesty check to confirm that you are in good disciplinary and academic standing; a waiver that allows us to do so is part of the Prospective Applicant Form (available below).
September 28:
- Submit the if you have not done so for the 2026-27 academic year.
- Submit the . If it has been more than two academic semesters since you completed your FPQ, please submit the . You do not need to do the entire FPQ again, unless you want to.
- After submission, schedule a meeting with the director of fellowships.
October 18:
- Submit the .
November 5:
- Revised Internal Application Form is due for committee review.
- Three (3) recommendation letters are due for campus nomination process:

- Submitted letters should be on letterhead, signed, and dated.
- Be sure to provide referees with St. Andrew’s Society Graduate Scholarship overview and selection criteria.
- Recommendation letter files should be named according to this format: Student Last Name_St Andrew's Letter_Recommender Last Name (e.g., Smith_St Andrew's Letter_Jones).
Mid to Late November: The Campus Nominating Committee meets to interview candidates and select the nominee.
December 10, 2 p.m. EST: Complete, final, revised St. Andrew’s application and final recommendation letters due for nominee.
