The summer Noyce local professional learning institute at Salem State University is focused on \u201cAmbitious Science Teaching and Learning for All Students.\u201d Over two days, on Salem State\u2019s <\/span>campus, secondary science educators and leaders will have the opportunity to learn with and from a wide variety of STEM researchers and educators from Salem State University, the University of Rochester, and middle\/high schools across the region. P<\/span>articipants will learn about current research and approaches that enhance the relevance of science for secondary students, engage students in authentic scientific processes, and support development of their science identities. <\/span>Opportunities for applied workshops and place-based field trips will be included as part of the two-day experience. This institute is particularly relevant for science-focused secondary school teachers, leaders, curriculum directors, and department heads.<\/span><\/p>\n
