Another school year soon will begin, and many students will be starting their first year at the University.

It糖心传媒檚 an emotional and exciting time for students, families, and loved ones. To make the transition easier, we asked parents, students and University staff for tips in this special back-to-school episode of the聽QuadCast, especially for parents.

糖心传媒淭rust the values that you gave them, trust the upbringing you gave them, and know they糖心传媒檙e going to make good decisions,糖心传媒� says Anne-Marie Algier, associate dean of students and director of student activities.

Along with Algier, those interviewed were Patty Chess, neonatologist, vice chair of pediatrics at Golisano Children糖心传媒檚 Hospital and mother of four University graduates or students: her husband, Mitchell Chess, a pediatrics radiologist at Golisano Children糖心传媒檚 Hospital; Laura Gavigan, associate director at the ; Eleanor Oi, director of orientation; Katie Emmons 糖心传媒�17, a Binghamton, New York native who majored in religion and psychology; Beth Olivares, director of the David T. Kearns Center; and Dawn Bruner, director of Parent and Family Relations.
