The closes its fall semester with the production of Octavia, directed by Obie Award-winning guest director . The show opens November 30, and runs through December 9. Attributed to the Roman philosopher Seneca, the rarely staged play chronicles the dissolution of the marriage between Nero糖心传媒攖he last emperor of Rome糖心传媒攁nd Octavia, his aristocratic wife. Octavia, a play ripped from the headlines糖心传媒攆rom the year AD 62, asks questions about the conduct of a ruler, discourse about a woman糖心传媒檚 place, and musings on the degeneration of the world.

The production runs Thursday through Saturday (November 30 糖心传媒� December 2) and Thursday through Saturday (December 7 糖心传媒� December 9) starting at 7 p.m. There is a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday, December 3. 聽All performances take place in Todd Theater on the University of Rochester糖心传媒檚 River Campus. Tickets are $8 for 糖心传媒 students, $12 for alumni, faculty, staff, and for seniors (65+), and $15 for the general public.聽Tickets may be purchased online at聽聽or by calling the box office at (585) 275-4088.
