Career center partners honored at 2nd annual ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½˜GwenniesÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½™

The second annual Gwennies Award Luncheon, hosted by the , was held Thursday, April 12 in Feldman Ballroom at Frederick Douglass Commons.

The awards honor partners who exemplify the Greene CenterÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½™s valuesÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½”respect, collaboration, diversity and inclusion, betterment, and purpose. Students, staff, and alumni received awards.

ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½œItÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½™s a celebration of our colleagues and partnerships across campus,ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½� said Joe Testani, assistant dean and director of the Greene Center. ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½œWithout them, we wouldn’t be able to fulfill our mission.ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½œ

Gwen Greene ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½™65, the longstanding Board of Trustees member for whom the center is named, presented the awards and spoke of the passion that fills the center.

ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½œBy working together, there’s nothing we canÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½™t do,ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½� she said.

University president Richard Feldman was the luncheonÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½™s final speaker.

ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½œWhen you think of the range of people nominated for these awards, itÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½™s a really remarkable testament to the growth, and expansion and kinds of partnerships that have been built,ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½� Feldman said. ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½œThis is the University of Rochester at its best.ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½�
