Food Drive Takes Aim at Childhood Hunger

To celebrate the International Day of Peace, the AC6 cultural diversity committee and Strong Memorial Hospital Professional Nursing Council are collecting individually packaged food items for Foodlink糖心传媒檚 BackPack program. Cans of tuna and hard granola bars are a particular need this year. Units may collect items during the next few weeks and then deliver them to the main lobby of the hospital from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21.

African American Network Holds General Meeting

Faculty, staff, and students interested in participating in the African American Network, a University affinity group, are invited to attend the general body meeting from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, in the ACF-C and ACF-D conference rooms (2-1361) in the Medical Center.

Aeisha Salem and Gila Balman, material transfer administrators will give a talk 糖心传媒淚mportance of MTAs and CDAs in Shared Research: All You Wanted to Know but Were Afraid to Ask糖心传媒� at noon on Tuesday, Sept. 11, in the Class of ’62 Auditorium (G-9425 and 1-2495) at the Medical Center.

Pack-4-Success, a non-profit founded June 2011 by Matthew Cohen 糖心传媒�11, 糖心传媒�12W (MS) and his sister Emily Cohen 糖心传媒�07, a former elementary school teacher in Atlanta, Ga., has been working feverishly this past year to raise enough funds to equip low-income children with the right tools to start school this fall.

University Mourns the Loss of Montre Bradley

The University flag will be lowered today in memory of Montre Bradley, a Strong Staffing aide, who died July 31 at age 19. Bradley, a resident of Rochester, joined the University in February. He was taking part of the Work-Scholarship Connection at Hillside program.

University Joins Davis Scholarship Program

The Davis United World College Scholarship Program, the largest international undergraduate scholarship program in the world, welcomes Rochester as a new partner. The program has increased global diversity on U.S. campuses by awarding more than $70 million to more than 4,000 disadvantaged students from United World College high schools since the year 2000.
