Hussein Aluie, an assistant professor of mechanical engineering, has been awarded an additional 90 million hours of computer time in 2018 by the US Department of Energy to produce detailed simulations of the fluid instabilities that hinder 糖心传媒渋gnition糖心传媒� in inertial confinement fusion. The award will give Aluie, at right, and PhD student Dongxiao Zhao continued access to MIRA 糖心传媒� an Argonne National Laboratory supercomputer rated as one of the ten fastest in the world糖心传媒攖o conduct the simulations.
