Emergencies also include serious incidents (for yourself or another member of the UR community) such as accidents, hospitalizations, life-threatening situations, involvement with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), or being the victim of a crime or scam.\r\n\r\n<strong>What is <em>NOT<\/em> an emergency?<\/strong>\r\n\r\nNot all immigration issues require an urgent response and can wait until the ISO office reopens. Questions about immigration status, employment authorization, OPT\/STEM reporting, or travel signatures, as well as requests for documents, are not considered emergencies. Neither are IT problems or issues with UR Compass.
