Group Term Life insurance for a spouse\/domestic partner\/dependent children is also available.\r\n<h2>Group Universal Life insurance<\/h2>\r\nGroup Universal Life insurance (GUL) pays a death benefit and, in addition, allows the owner to contribute additional premiums beyond the cost of the insurance to accumulate cash value that can be used during his or her lifetime for needs such as paying for college, buying a new home or building retirement funds.\r\n\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/pages.securian.com\/enrollment\/employers\/10463.html?cid=rd_&amp;tid=8553100\"><img class=\"alignright wp-image-92252\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/human-resources\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Securian-Site_Thumbnail-406x339.jpg\" alt=\"Securian Financial\u2019s education microsite\" width=\"300\" height=\"250\" \/><\/a>\r\n\r\nVisit <a href=\"https:\/\/pages.securian.com\/content\/promo\/en\/enrollment\/employers\/010463.html\">Securian Financial's education microsite [icon name=\"external-link-alt\" prefix=\"fas\"]<\/a> to view a plan summary and find more information about your coverage options and costs - as well as a number of educational resources.\r\n\r\nIf you terminate, retire from the University of Rochester or become ineligible for the plan (i.e. Time-As-Reported-TAR), you may continue all of your GUL coverage until age 100 by paying premiums directly to Securian Financial.\r\n<h2>How to enroll<\/h2>\r\nEmployees can enroll in Group Universal Life (GUL) insurance at any time, however, proof of good health may be required depending on when you enroll. Then click \u201cSecurian Financial Life Insurance\u201d under Suggested Links.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Answer the necessary questions<\/li>\r\n \t<li>You may elect 1-8 times your annual salary, up to a maximum of $1,500,000.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Designate your beneficiaries\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Primary Beneficiary \u2013 The person or persons named will receive the benefit<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Contingent Beneficiary \u2013 If the primary beneficiary is no longer living, the benefit is paid to the contingent beneficiary<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<h2>About Securian Financial<\/h2>\r\nSecurian Financial is the administrator of the University Group Life Insurance Plan.
